Beanfield Appointed to the Canadian Telecommunications Association Board of Directors

Helping to Drive a Healthy, Competitive and Sustainable Telecom Sector.

We are proud to announce that Beanfield has joined the Canadian Telecommunications Association (CTA) as a member, and has also joined the Board of Directors. Representing Beanfield on the Board is Fabien Fourmanoit, our Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer. Fabien’s extensive experience in legal and regulatory affairs will be instrumental in navigating complex industry challenges and pushing for a framework that prioritizes innovation and facilities-based competition.

Beanfield’s goal remains clear: to improve the lives of Canadians through reliable connectivity, greater infrastructure investments, and industry-wide accountability. We are committed to bringing our customer-focused perspective to the CTA Board. With Canadians top of mind, we will contribute to the advocacy of policies, regulations, and programs that facilitate a healthy, competitive, and sustainable telecom sector.

“Joining the CTA Board is a significant milestone for Beanfield and, more importantly, for the customers we serve,” says Fabien. “We look forward to advocating for a regulatory environment that prioritizes Canadian consumers and businesses. By bringing our values to the national stage, we can help represent the perspective of independent service providers, while supporting policies that encourage investment, innovation, and resilience in Canada’s telecommunications ecosystem.”

The Canadian Telecommunications Association plays a central role in advancing public policy discussions related to the economic and social value of a sustainable telecommunications sector and the importance of strong, facilities-based competition for Canadians and the economy.

“We are pleased to welcome Beanfield to the Canadian Telecommunications Association,” said Robert Ghiz, President and CEO, Canadian Telecommunications Association. “Beanfield has practical experience and valuable insight as a facilities-based provider, and its participation will strengthen the industry’s collective voice on issues critical to Canada’s digital future.”

This appointment, alongside Beanfield’s recent membership with Ad Standards Canada, underscores our unwavering commitment to the continued growth of the Canadian telecom landscape. As we continue to invest locally, we remain dedicated to our stance that a robust and competitive sector is essential for Canada’s economic growth and social well-being, and we are honoured to play a more active role in driving that progress.

That’s How it should be.
