Friends of Ruby

We were thrilled to host our second annual Pride Primer on June 22nd at The Bentway, as we joined together to celebrate Pride and support Friends of Ruby—an incredible organization dedicated to creating safe and welcoming spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. 

During this heartwarming event, our community came together, raising awareness and funds for Friends of Ruby, a cause that resonates deeply with us. Thanks to the unwavering support of our customers, we are overjoyed to announce that we’ve donated $10,000. This contribution will significantly impact 2SLGBTQIA+ youth aged 16-29, providing them with essential items such as groceries, a nurturing place to call home, a community to lean on, and access to dedicated 2SLGBTQIA+ professionals focused on their well-being and mental health. 

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Friends of Ruby for their tireless efforts in creating a nurturing and secure environment for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. Exploring their space and hearing the inspiring success stories they’ve made possible, has been an unforgettable experience, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity. 

The story doesn’t end there. We look forward to developing our relationship with Friends of Ruby and exploring how we can work together to create a brighter future and opportunities for their residents. At Beanfield, we are fortunate to have so many talented individuals with various expertise and we will be welcoming Friends of Ruby into our office to speak with our staff, ask questions and explore the many career paths that tech has to offer.  

We believe that every act of kindness and support can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Together, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate world for everyone.
