In striving to serve and support our communities, we hope to inspire and promote a better future.
This holiday season we wanted to do something meaningful for struggling families and the less fortunate who have been further impacted by Covid-19. Well-equipped and prepared, a few of our team members from Toronto and Montreal set off to make this holiday season a little more special.
TORONTO
Our team was greatly inspired by all of the work that FoodShare Toronto has done to deliver nutritious produce to those greatly impacted by the ongoing issue of poverty and food insecurity. Since 1985, along with the help of many organizations and individual donors, they have been a working force for change tackling food insecurity.
December 1st 2020 was Giving Tuesday – a day recognized as the “global generosity movement” encouraging people to do good, volunteer and help others. On this day we called upon our Beanfield family members to lend a hand in helping FoodShare Toronto collect and deliver Good Food Boxes to families in the GTA. This package included a variety of fresh produce locally grown on either Foodshare’s School Grown or Black Creek Community Farms.
In addition, from November to December, we made a commitment to donate $50 to FoodShare Toronto for every new Beanfield customer. We’re truly proud of all the work this amazing organization has accomplished and the impact it has made. With the support of our amazing community and customers, our donation will help FoodShare Toronto in continuing to reach over 250,000 people every year.

MONTREAL
On the 24th & 25th of December, our team worked with MA-RO Food To You, RE/MAX’s Steve Valiante and several other generous individuals and raised funds to deliver hot meals, sandwiches and treats to frontline hospital workers at the Jewish General Hospital and the homeless community in Montreal.
Over 200 hot meals were prepared by Elsa from MA-RO Food To You, Montreal. With all of the helping hands, these meals were delivered to over 70 individuals in Montreal’s homeless community and the entire staff of the E8 Chemo Clinic and K7 Oncology Department at the Jewish General Hospital. Enough funds also provided each of the homeless with some cash to go along with their meals.
