We’re proud to announce that Beanfield has teamed up with stackt Market to directly support a small business in our Toronto community. As a part of the Small Business Program, our grant will provide New Pie Co. with a storefront residency into 2022.
New Pie Co. is an up-and-coming bakery by Shiela Labo, a Toronto-based dessert maker and baking instructor – forever obsessed with pies (seriously, the most insanely delicious pies). We had the pleasure of working with Shiela and the team at New Pie Co. on another recent project and knew that the Small Business Program would be the perfect opportunity for New Pie Co. to expand their market and test out a new storefront.
This idea might ring familiar to those of you that have followed Beanfield over the past year. That’s because we ran a program just like this at stackt for Trevor Lui’s Makan Noodle. We’re thrilled to be able to do this again on a larger scale and work hand in hand with New Pie Co on some exciting projects along the way – stay tuned.
We encourage you to drop by stackt at 28 Bathurst St. to support New Pie Co. over the winter season. Our team recently got a chance to try some pies and we can attest – you will not be disappointed. Doors will be open the weekend of November 5th.
Beanfield is excited to continue to support growth within the communities that we serve. We can’t wait to see how New Pie Co. grows and thrives throughout the coming months.
