At Beanfield, we like to think of every day as Earth Day. Between our participation in Avéole’s urban beekeeping program, our fleet of electric vehicles and our journey to becoming carbon neutral, we strive to be an environmental leader in our industry.
This past Earth Day, we planted 500 trees in Ontario and Quebec through One Tree Planted, a non-profit dedicated to making it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment.
We asked our customers, staff and followers on social media to get involved in this effort, by commenting on our Earth Day post. We encouraged everyone to share how they are planning on bettering the Earth this year, as we committed to planting a tree for every comment our post received. From going vegetarian or vegan, to avoiding single-use plastics, we were thrilled to see that those in our community are taking steps to improve our impact on our planet.
We are happy to know that our contribution to One Tree Planted will help restore wildlife habitats, protect the water supply, support reforestation in Ontario and Quebec, as well as prevent climate change.
